IT for electrical contractors.

Secure Nerds provides managed IT to Australian electrical contractors, focused on getting compliance certificates and site photos off personal phones into backed-up, searchable storage, plus managed devices and quoting from site. The complete package costs from $1,000 per month for up to five users.

Compliance paperwork is not optional in your trade, and most of it now starts as a photo on somebody’s phone. If that phone is the only copy, you have a records problem waiting to happen — usually discovered at the worst moment.

What changes

What’s different about your sector.

Generic managed IT assumes everyone sits at a desk on a company laptop. For most of our clients almost nothing about that is true.

Records

Certificates that must be produced later

Compliance documents and site photos filed automatically off the device into somewhere backed up and searchable, so producing them a year later is a search rather than an archaeology dig.

Devices

Phones and tablets as work tools

Enrolled and managed, so a lost or broken device is replaced with the same access the same day, and a departing employee’s access is removed cleanly.

Quoting

Getting the number out fast

The businesses that quote from site win more work. We make sure the connectivity, logins and templates support that rather than fighting it.

The package

The same inclusions, configured for you.

What you get doesn’t change by industry. How it’s configured does — and that is most of the value.

What that covers
  • Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace — licensing, setup, mailboxes, file storage and the day-to-day administration of both.
  • Website hosting and maintenance — hosting, updates and monitoring, kept patched alongside everything else we run.
  • Domain registration and DNS — renewals handled and DNS managed, so nobody has to remember when the domain expires.
  • DMARC email authentication — stops criminals sending invoices that appear to come from your domain.
  • Managed EDR, ITDR and a 24/7 SOC — endpoint and identity detection through Huntress, with analysts watching around the clock rather than alerts piling up in a console.
  • Basic SEO — the on-page and local search work that keeps you findable, handled alongside the hosting.
  • Managed IT remote support for up to 5 users — a business-hours help desk and remote resolution for the whole team.

Sector questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do site photos and certificates end up?

In your business’s own cloud storage, organised by job, backed up separately, and accessible to the office rather than trapped on a phone. Getting this right is usually the biggest single improvement for an electrical contractor.

What if an apprentice loses their phone?

Business data is separated from personal data on managed devices, so the work information can be removed remotely without touching anything of theirs, and a replacement is set up quickly.

Do we need this if we already use a job management app?

The app handles jobs. It doesn’t patch the devices, secure the accounts, back up the data independently or stop someone spoofing your email. Those are the gaps we cover.
